Prepare all the ingredients before cooking.

Pre-Heat Oven

350 Degrees.

Precook Cherries

In a small saucepan, heat cherries and orange juice until hot. Remove from heat. Let stand until cool: drain cherries of liquid, discard the liquid.

Create Wet Mixture

In a large mixer bowl, cream butter and sugars until light. Beat in egg and vanilla.

Create Dry Mixture

Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

Combine Wet, Dry, Oats, & Cherries

Quick-Cooking Rolled Oats

Beat Dry into Wet, then add Oats and Cherries.

Drop heaping spoonfuls onto buttered baking sheet. Cook 10 -12 minutes. Do not over bake.
